Footnotes 2003

Footnotes Poster Flare Dance Ensemble staged their 2nd annual production, Footnotes, in October 2003, and attracted crowds of over 650 people. With the experience of having staged a full-length production the previous year, the adminstration and management of the event ran more smoothly.

The increasing popularity of Flare saw membership exceed 180 members during 2003, with a lot of fresh, new talent being injected into the club. The inclusion of guest performances by PoisE'n, Xplicit Ways and students from the Victorian College of Arts added to the diversity of styles that were performed in the production.

Tao Of Love by Jane Khoo Cast: Jane Khoo, Elizabeth Kong, Noel Leung, Jean Ong, Sheay Way Tan, Yangli Yu Raindrops splashing, dewdrops sparkling. The gentle flow of a stream, the rhythm of a cascade. Balance can be created in dissonance. This is the Tao of love.
remiX by Guest item: Xplicit Ways Cast: Justin Hhan, Sabrina Lee, Denise Liang, Marc Mendoza, Maria Nguyen, Cecilia Poa, Peter Tay In remiX, Xways brings to you an eclectic mix of songs. The piece starts off with pop with "Anticipating". Then NER*D's raw hiphop sounds will fill the theatre as the dancers groove to "Brain". And to end the piece, the highly energetic and booty shaking "Crazy In Love".
