Productions
In addition to various performances throughout the year, Flare members strive towards the goal of staging a full-length dance production in late Semester 2. This production is wholly managed, produced and choreographed by fellow students. With a cast of approximately 50 dancers, there is a diverse range of people in the group, with students from Arts to Commerce to Optometry.
This annual production gives amateur dancers the opportunity to gain exposure to different dance styles, including hip hop, jazz, funk, ballet, techno, ethnic dance and contemporary. There is also the opportunity for aspiring, new choreographers to express their creativity, as well as experienced choreographers to develop their artistic direction.
