Opening night is only 12 days away! I REPEAT 12 DAYS AWAY! Now to introduce our next choreographer, this small and bubbly person may not be seen in a crowd of people, but her presence is definitely felt on the stage. Co-choreographing for her first production piece is non other than Bud Lo
Having been dancing for 17 years, I always ask myself – What’s my next goal?
Ever since I have left home and started uni in Melbourne, I thought I would never have the chance to do Chinese dance again. However, Flare gave me a very good opportunity to choreograph for its production. Spending my second year in Flare, I have challenged myself by trying various dance genres that I have never touched on before. The fact that I have picked up Chinese dance again in Flare and personally choreographed a Chinese dance piece is simply unbelievable yet exhilarating. With the passion and effort of my dancers, the impossible is made possible.
In others' eyes, your dream may be negligible. But don't be afraid of having the seed of dream growing inside of you. We should all go for our dreams without fear and hesitation. One shouldn't believe in dreams only after he has witnessed them coming true. It works the other way round-- dreams come true only if you believe in them. Dreams are called dreams for a reason, for they are difficult to reach. Yet, that encouraged me to try even harder and work even harder. My devotion to dancing grows day by day, and from dancing, I understand myself better and become more assured of my abilities. This is what keeps me going.
Be yourself and dance the way you are. Wish it. Dream it. Do it. Live it.
This piece definitely shouldn't be missed! So purchase tickets here to see this ball of happiness in action.
