Hello, friends! Production is now exactly ONE MONTH AWAY. As such, we figured we should introduce you to this year's group of choreographers. We'll introduce one choreographer every few days to help countdown to production. First up, we have Alana.
Alana's interest in dance started at a young age when she watched music videos with her mum, but never thought of how to pursue it. In 2008, her friend introduced her to Flare Dance Ensemble where she was performing for their annual production. She joined Flare in 2009 and by 2011, she was exposed to dance crews within Melbourne and internationally. From watching these performances, her love and passion for dance grew. Being exposed to the dance community within Flare and outside, she realised that dance was more than just a hobby.
Alana's aim for her production piece this year is to inspire her dancers the same way she has been inspired by choreographers that she has learnt from, locally and internationally. She also wanted to share her knowledge and hope to make them grow to the best dancers they can be.
