Activities:

  • Workshops to enhance stage presence, spatial awareness, and cleaner lines.
  • Choreography workshop. Try your hand at choreography and surprise yourself!
  • Outdoor games (weather permitting).  Prepare yourself.
  • Campfire (weather permitting). Sing koombayah and burn whatever you can find :)
  • Movie night.
  • Angel / Mortal.  You will be assigned (by lucky draw) a 'mortal' to look after during camp.  This is a game of secrecy and you must try and make your mortal feel special (and pass them a small gift - less than $5) in which at the end of the camp everyone must try and guess who their Angel is.

  • Towel
  • Toiletries (Toothbrush, Toothpaste, Soap, Shampoo, Hairbrush, etc)
  • Shower slippers
  • Spare clothes for outdoor games (expect to get dirty)
  • Linen (pillow case, bedsheet or sleeping bag)
  • Your favourite teddybear
  • Snacks
  • Camera
  • Torch
  • Angel / Mortal present
  • Musical Instrument (Let us know if you want to bring any guitars, keyboard, etc)

Description:

Rawson Village is located 35 kms north of Moe, only 2 hours drive from Melbourne. The Village itself is located in a picturesque setting surrounded by lush mountain vegetation and delightful scenery on 15 acres of landscaped gardens in the township of Rawson. Adjacent to the Village is the Baw Baw National Park which boasts beautiful bush land of Mountain Ash, tree ferns and associated species.

Rooms are centrally heated, blankets and pillows are provided.  Heating is provided through floor heating which makes it comfortable during the cold nights of Winter that we will be staying in.

We have exclusive use of the function room which is situated next to the lodges we will be sleeping in, so there is no need to trek long distances in the chilly morning for breakfast.   Outdoor activities include low-ropes course, commando course and a soccer field.

Please note that it is compulsory for all choreographers to attend this camp, and it is strongly encouraged for production dancers to come as well, as it is an extremely great opportunity to bond with your fellow dancers.  Note that this camp is not limited to production dancers, and backstage crew and friends are welcome as well.
